  1. Notarize the documents.
  2. Purchase a domain name for your ministry, if you don't already have one at a registrar like godaddy.com or cloudflare.com.
  3. Bring awareness to that your awesome ministry exists!
    • Create a website for your ministry if you don't already have one. The key things to have on your ministry website is a clear purpose of your ministry and vision. You also want to make sure you have a donation button or a giving section for the ministry. Tithe.ly is a good website hosting platform for churches and ministries.
    • Create social media pages if you don't already have them. Create a facebook page and instagram account. Other social medias aren't necessary unless you choose to create other accounts on different platforms.

  4. EIN and bank account - refer to the "Trust" sermon series as the best option for this. Alternatively, you could also get an EIN for a church and use that for the bank account setup.
  5. To each merchant that you purchase items from, give them a completed sales tax exemption certification for your local State. This includes Amazon, Walmart, or even the local hardware store. For Texas, use Texas Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certification.
